DARWIN - PERTH
When I arrive in Darwin in mid-September, the first part of my journey begins. First, via Katherine to Arnhem Land and Limmen National Park, then via Daly Waters and the Buchanan Highway through the Tanami Desert towards WA. Through the Kimberleys and along the west coast to Broome, Port Hedland, and Carnarvon, I'll travel to Perth. About 4,000 km directly, but last time, with all the side trips along the way, I drove about 10,000 km. I'll pick up my campervan in Darwin, and if all goes well, I'll return it to Perth after just over 11 weeks. Whether I'll have time to visit the southwest corner of the country after arriving in Perth remains to be seen...
