Flying to Darwin
Arranging the flight from Amsterdam to Darwin took some research. I ultimately opted for a flight from Amsterdam via Hong Kong to Perth, and from there, a short distance back to Darwin. It sounds a bit odd, but it was ultimately cheaper than flying directly to Darwin. I flew with Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong, arriving at 7:00 AM and departing again at 11:00 PM. I arrived in Perth around 6:00 AM and then in Darwin around noon.
Long flight but with a day in Hong Kong in between so I can stretch my legs.
APOLLO
Transportation on site
Have rented from Apollo before and always been satisfied.
It will be a 4WD Trailfinder with a pop-up roof. It's ideal for two people, but I'm only traveling alone, so it should be big enough.
I was a bit disappointed with the cost, but inquiries with other rental companies told me that renting such a real 4WD is simply an expensive affair.
But during the journey there are really parts where I can't live without it.

Reisgidsen en zo
I want to avoid at all costs that I end up back in the Netherlands and discover that I was close to something very beautiful but didn't know about it.
It's impossible to see everything, but the various travel guides at least give me the opportunity to make a well-considered choice.
The Kimberley Pocket Guide by Birgitte Bradtke is a very good help and the internet is of course indispensable.
